basketballscotland is teaming up with local and regional partners to deliver a development focused programme for young players across the country. This shift in focus for the governing body comes from the demand from local clubs and the national strategy of introducing players to competition earlier in their development. 

The Regional Development Leagues (RDL) programme will provide competition for both U12 and U14, boys and girls. This is only possible through the continued support of CashBack for Communities, funding the regional development of basketball in Scotland.

The programme aims to create over 1000 basketball opportunities each year, across the 6 CashBack funded regions. This initiative will run in conjunction with regional partnerships and provide a national template for existing competition.
